Founded in 1996, STAR Touring and Riding Association is the "Official Riding Organization of STAR Motorcycles”. STAR is an international, family friendly, non-political and non-confrontational motorcycle riding association focused on fun, camaraderie and riding. All brands of motorcycles are welcome. STAR is made up of over 42,000 families and over 275 chapters. STAR recognizes safety as a first priority. The STAR community is a mix of riders with varied riding experiences. Chapter rides follow the highway laws and limits to keep everyone as safe as possible. This allows everyone to enjoy the ride and not have new riders feel overly stressed. The consumption of alcoholic beverages on STAR chapter rides is prohibited. We want to see you back safely for the next ride. If you are looking for a family motorcycle association, with a lot of pride, spirit and camaraderie without the "attitude", you have found the right organization. Come ride with us! Our chapter was chartered in 2001 by Richard Gibson, our first President. Richard and his wife Barb have now moved into positions at STAR as State Directors for WA and MT. Since 2001, our chapter has continued to grow. As of October, 2008 we have 53 members plus 24 prospects that have attended at least one event in 2008. We will have many events on our schedule for 2009 that offer opportunities for all family members to participate. The 2009 schedule of events will be developed by our membership during our meetings in January, February and March. Please check back often for updates. |
