February Meeting and Charter Signing |

We gathered at Bob's Burger and Brew for our February monthly meeting and STAR Charter signing. We had a very good turnout with 28 members attending. After our breakfast we went through our regularly scheduled meeting agenda and then began the requisite "Reading Of The Charter". You'll see pictures, below, of the 9 people who each read a page of the Charter. We also had a few more people sign ride waivers for 2010. 11 bikes participated in the after meeting ride. Lenny had suggested a route that covered part of the route planned for the Jim Schemerhorn Poker Run so it was suggested that, for those who had the time, we go ahead and ride the whole route so that those who wanted to see it would have an opportunity to do so. Zippo led the ride with DonC as Tailgunner. This was Don's first time as an "official" tailgunner and he performed admirably when one of our riders with bike trouble became concerned about sand or gravel in the road and managed to run off the road. Fortunately, the rider was not seriously hurt and was able to ride home on her somewhat damaged, but still operable, bike. DonC and JohnG caught up with the rest of the group at the Conway Texaco station and after some visiting the rest of us moved on to The Farmhouse where the wonderful pies that they make there were thoroughly enjoyed. After the pie break the riders broke up and headed home. We hope you enjoy some of the images below. |
